Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4, measurement ID G-72JQBVVCF2) to count visits and see which pages are read. It is switched off by default: when you first arrive we ask, and no analytics code is loaded and nothing is sent to Google unless you choose Accept. If you choose Decline, no Google Analytics code is loaded at all.

The cookies involved are:

  • cc-analytics-consent — set by this website to remember your choice, so you are not asked on every page. It stores only the word "granted" or "denied", lasts 12 months, and is set whichever option you choose.
  • Google Analytics cookies — set only if you accept. These record anonymised usage such as pages viewed, approximate location by country, browser and device type. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.

We do not use advertising or profiling cookies, and we do not sell or share analytics data with third parties.

You can change your mind at any time: reset your cookie choice and you will be asked again.

Separately, our contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA to block automated spam. It runs only on that page, and is governed by Google's own privacy policy and terms.
