Vendor Management
Overview
Managing third-party suppliers, contracts, SLAs and performance. Holding vendors accountable to what they promised — and helping you recognise when a vendor relationship needs to change.
Most organisations end up with more vendor relationships than they meant to, governed by contracts that nobody on the customer side has read since signing. We bring discipline to that landscape.
What We Do
- Vendor selection support — helping you evaluate options on the criteria that actually matter, not just the ones the vendor wants to be measured on.
- Contract review — reading the technical clauses, the SLAs, the exit provisions and the change-control terms before you sign, not after something goes wrong.
- Ongoing vendor performance management — running the scheduled reviews, tracking SLA compliance, and escalating where appropriate.
- Vendor consolidation reviews — identifying where multiple vendors are doing overlapping work and where consolidation would reduce cost and complexity.
- Escalation handling — representing your interest when a vendor relationship hits trouble.
Common Problems We Solve
- Vendors who deliver late and treat the slippage as routine.
- Vendors whose SLAs, on close reading, do not actually match what was sold in the pitch.
- Vendors who have quietly become locked-in suppliers — where the cost of leaving has crept up to the point where they no longer feel competitive pressure.
- Vendors who need replacing, and where the replacement needs to be handled carefully to avoid a service gap.
Our Approach
We act in your interest, not the vendor's. We have no commission relationships, no referral fees and no reseller agreements with any vendor. We are paid by you and we work for you. When we recommend a course of action, it is because we believe it is the right one — not because someone else is paying us to recommend it.
This independence matters. It means we can tell you when a vendor is doing a good job and when they are not, without conflict of interest.
